rocking you!
I've just had the greatest weekend!!
Saturday 10th started with a lovely brunch at Iguanas to celebrate Debbie (from work) leaving to have a baby - she didn't want a "baby shower" so we did brunch instead. Of course, we all brought pressies along......lots of ohhhh'ing and ahhhhhh'ing over cute baby things!
That evening Cam, Rach, Jo and myself headed to Kim and Quentin's for a dinner party. We have been trying to find a date that all 6 of us were free - and 3 months later, we found one!! We turned up at 4pm (as the invite said) for drinks and nibbles first, to find our hosts were not ready! They thought we were coming at 5pm! haha! Yet in a flash, they had us all with a drink in our hand and nibbles on the table. Now that is good hostessing!!
Dinner was served later in the evening, and was very fancy indeed! Quentin went all out! We had duck on a bed of potato and kumara sour cream mash with a red wine jus (I think) and creamed spinich. Very well presented that we thought we were at a restaurant! Very fancy!
It was a fabulous evening that must be repeated!! Many thanks for your hospitality guys!
On Sunday, Jo and I headed up to Auckland to meet up with Mum and the Morten parents to go see We Will Rock You musical. For those who haven't seen it - DEFINATELY recommended! Rachel saw it in Australia (most of the same cast in NZ) and raved about it so Cameron and I saw it in London last year and loved it!! When I heard it was coming to Auckland, I just had to see it again!! I convinced the others that it was awesome, so we got tickets for the last day (but the show was then extended another 2-3 weeks!).
Besides our eardrums pounding at the end of a solid 2.5 hour show, the parents were buzzing!
Annie Crummer (a kiwi) who played Killer Queen was outstanding! Go Kiwi talent!!!
It's playing all around the world, so if you get a chance, definately go see it!!!!!

Rach and Cam are going this coming weekend with Tobi, when he's back in the country. I was ever so tempted to buy a ticket for that day too. I could definately see it over and over! Unfortunately I'm on call, so can't leave town. It is tempting though....It's playing all around the world, so if you get a chance, definately go see it!!!!!
