overdue update

Firstly, you can see that my website is back to the way it should be (menu at the top of the page, not at the bottom!!). After some serious investigating of the HTML code, I worked out that one of my titles were too long, so it was putting it out of align.

A quick update on the past couple of weeks......

Saturday 18th Feb we had SingStar & Cocktails party! Kim, Quentin, Jo, Tobi, Hayley, Stephanie (from my work) plus the flatties were all there, singing their hearts out. A very casual evening of friends hanging out. Not sure if Steph ever wants to come back to my place!!
On the Sunday, I went to the Farmers Market at the Wintec carpark. It's a new thing the Council are doing to try to promote local growers. I have to say I was very disappointed with the turnout. Most Farmers Markets I've been to usually have cheaper prices than stores. Most of them were charging full retail price for their products. Jo walked away with a watermelon (which she told me the other day wasn't even that nice!) and I was empty-handed.

Thursday 23rd Feb I met with some of my old friends from Environment Waikato for dinner at Lone Star. It was great to catch up with them and all the gossip they provided from the old workplace! Ellen finished work there on the Wednesday, so was definately up for a good night. Her boss was my old boss that didn't give me MY position to me when they decided to make it permanent. Silly cow. She got rid of most of her existing team and worked the rest to the point of quitting and others on stress leave. For each person, she has a story that helps her prove it's not her. For me, I had another job to go to.......ASS I DID! I was offered my job in Tokoroa but they understood that I preferred the EW job. Man, I just want to slap that b*&%$!!!

Last weekend was very uneventful. Was feeling quite down about.....well, everything, so had a blob day (cause everyone else was out and had lives). Saturday night Rach, Cam and I went into town for a quick bite to eat. We went to the Caz bar which had a really cool build your own pizza. VERY yum (and so not good for the diet). Then we went to this random pub to play pool (where Jo joined us for a few games). $1 per game, so you can't beat that (well Spirited could with free tables, but they are never free!). Ex-Hamilton people - CueBar is now closed!!!! It doesn't exist any more. Our flatmate Craig's girlfriend said her friend is opening another bar in there soon (was meant to be last weekend but consents fell through or something)

And that brings me to this week. Nothing much has happened yet, as it is only Tuesday. I have my first ever official coaching session with my boss. It's basically meant to be a formal meeting to go over my goals I set last June to see if I've done them or not! Not as the case is.......but I've done heaps of unscheduled projects, which are extra brownie points. Fingers crossed for 2.30pm Thursday!!!!!

Cowboys.....in love.....NO?!

On Saturday, Stephanie from work came up to Hamilton for an appointment, so we decided to meet for lunch afterwards. Went to Breakers for a quick bite (not that great). When you ask for a sandwich without something, you'd expect it not to be there right?! Silly me, what was I thinking?? hmmmmm......

Anyway, we went to see Brokeback Mountain at Rialto. I'm really surprised that it wasn't at Village Cinemas, but doesn't bother me cause the seats are better at Rialto!

Review: Was a typical forbidden love story.....if you forget the fact they are gay cowboys. It was a standard story, they love each other but can't have each other.
The "famous tent scene" was totally over talked. You rarely saw the two of them in the same shot, so it's not as bad as they made it out (excuse the pun). There were a few intense kisses through the movie, but personally, it didn't gross me out.
Still a good movie to go see, but it can wait til it's out on DVD.

Condolences to my Danish Family

Just received an email from my host Mum (Inger) in Denmark to say Ingo (Inger's brother-in-law) had passed away on 27th January. It was very sudden and unexpected.

Condolences to Bente (wife) and Susanne (daughter).

My thoughts are with you.......

something weird with my blog site

For those who have noticed, I seem to be having problems with my blog page.

If you are wondering where the menu went from the right-hand side, check the bottom of the page.

NO idea why it's doing that, and have been trying to fix it for days, but it seems to happen with any kind of template I use. :-(

Have emailed the Blogger help, but if they are anything like Microsoft, I'll never get an answer....

the saying is true..

....if you look like your passport photo, you're too sick to travel!!!!!

Ewwwwww I just got my passport photo taken and I look terrible! You're not allowed to show any emotion on your face, which makes anyone look scary. But I'm also having a very "flat hair" day, so not so nice.

I didn't sleep much last night either, so that means dark circles under my eyes. Always attractive!

Oh ewww I just looked again and it looks like I've got a bung eye! Maybe it looks like I'm on drugs?! I'm doooooooooomed! I'm going to be stopped at every checkpoint to be searched and dogs sniffing around me (oh I don't like dogs!!)

OK, who wants a laugh.........see below
