and another....

Oh yes, I've been to another concert! Pluto, Supergroove and Crowded House!
This was also at the Vector Arena. I must say, this is quite a good venue. I was on the ground, but they had seats, which makes it easier. I wouldn't want to be there when it's GA. From everywhere inside the arena, you can see the stage. Sure, I couldn't make out faces, but I I could see the performance quite clearly!

Supergroove were excellent! Sadly they did not play Scorpio Girls, but it was a great show, none the less!

Crowded House did a great show too. They were playing a lot of their new stuff to start with, and most of us didn't know it. It was quite a quiet crowd for a concert. After they had a break (with greyhound dogs running across the stage?!) they came on and played lots of their old stuff. They ended on a high with their well known songs, which of course, left a great memory of the whole concert.

Bring back Supergroove!!!!!!

girls weekend

It's all about Camp Quality.....of course!
The AGM for Camp was in Rotorua on Friday night. Lorriane, Trudy, Jo and myself decided we'd make a girls weekend of it.
We arrived in Rotorua, checked into our motel and sat down with a few drinks. We managed to drag ourselves to the AGM at Rydges hotel down the road. We managed not to fall asleep then headed back to our motel for more drinks and a spa!

Lorraine & Trudy's "cooking"
- gotta love roast chicken and bread rolls!

The next morning we headed out.......shopping!! What else do a bunch of girls do when they're together. OK, granted, Rotorua is not the shopping capital of the world, but it was fun. We took Trudy's camper out for lunch, which was fun! By mid afternoon, we were done shopping, so we headed back to the motel for drinks and nibbles.

Lunch with Trudy's camper, Holly

Our shopping efforts!

At 7pm we headed back to Rydges to have dinner with the National CQ committee. It was a lovely dinner with some great company. Of course the Waikato/BOP region really represented - it does help that it was in our region! We entertained ourselves quite well. Adam came along as Trudy's "date". Jo was mine as it was committee members only. It was a fun night.

It was a FANTASTIC weekend - Thanks girls!!!! Can't wait to do it again!!

rock on!

Just have to say that
Linkin Park ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

Cameron and I went up to Auckland on Friday for the second Linkin Park concert at the Vector Arena. It was the coolest concert ever!!!!

Chris Cornell (??) was the opening act. He was lead singer of Sound Garden and Audioslave. He wasn't really my cup of tea, but he sang some songs I knew!

So the main show was awesome. I'd heard that they only play for about an hour, but they were on for about 1.5 hours! Unfortunately, I wasn't feeing the greatest so wasn't at my full potential, but I fully enjoyed the show! Totally recommend their live show.

Also, did you realise that some of their songs start exactly the same??!! Cam and I both started singing different songs after an musical intro, then realised that they both started the same way! Weird....

solving all of life's problems...

Well maybe not all problems........and maybe not life's problems........but some problems!!
.......maybe..........

I have just returned from a 3 day course in Auckland at Rydges Hotel. It was Kepner-Tregoe Problem Solving and Decision Making - http://www.kepner-tregoe.com/
My whole team at work has already done this course, so being the newbie, I had to go by myself. The course is really good actually. I've learnt heaps and now my boss can't wait for me to do some problem solving. See how long it is until I forget how!

Also have to brag that I got to stay at the hotel for 3 nights - KING sized bed, charging food back to my room. I was living the lifestyle! Well.....dreaming it anyway.

Anyway, it was a great 3 days off work, learning interesting stuff and eating great food!! haha!
