overdue update
Firstly, you can see that my website is back to the way it should be (menu at the top of the page, not at the bottom!!). After some serious investigating of the HTML code, I worked out that one of my titles were too long, so it was putting it out of align.
A quick update on the past couple of weeks......
Saturday 18th Feb we had SingStar & Cocktails party! Kim, Quentin, Jo, Tobi, Hayley, Stephanie (from my work) plus the flatties were all there, singing their hearts out. A very casual evening of friends hanging out. Not sure if Steph ever wants to come back to my place!!
On the Sunday, I went to the Farmers Market at the Wintec carpark. It's a new thing the Council are doing to try to promote local growers. I have to say I was very disappointed with the turnout. Most Farmers Markets I've been to usually have cheaper prices than stores. Most of them were charging full retail price for their products. Jo walked away with a watermelon (which she told me the other day wasn't even that nice!) and I was empty-handed.
Thursday 23rd Feb I met with some of my old friends from Environment Waikato for dinner at Lone Star. It was great to catch up with them and all the gossip they provided from the old workplace! Ellen finished work there on the Wednesday, so was definately up for a good night. Her boss was my old boss that didn't give me MY position to me when they decided to make it permanent. Silly cow. She got rid of most of her existing team and worked the rest to the point of quitting and others on stress leave. For each person, she has a story that helps her prove it's not her. For me, I had another job to go to.......ASS I DID! I was offered my job in Tokoroa but they understood that I preferred the EW job. Man, I just want to slap that b*&%$!!!
Last weekend was very uneventful. Was feeling quite down about.....well, everything, so had a blob day (cause everyone else was out and had lives). Saturday night Rach, Cam and I went into town for a quick bite to eat. We went to the Caz bar which had a really cool build your own pizza. VERY yum (and so not good for the diet). Then we went to this random pub to play pool (where Jo joined us for a few games). $1 per game, so you can't beat that (well Spirited could with free tables, but they are never free!). Ex-Hamilton people - CueBar is now closed!!!! It doesn't exist any more. Our flatmate Craig's girlfriend said her friend is opening another bar in there soon (was meant to be last weekend but consents fell through or something)
And that brings me to this week. Nothing much has happened yet, as it is only Tuesday. I have my first ever official coaching session with my boss. It's basically meant to be a formal meeting to go over my goals I set last June to see if I've done them or not! Not as the case is.......but I've done heaps of unscheduled projects, which are extra brownie points. Fingers crossed for 2.30pm Thursday!!!!!
