a bit slack

well I have been a bit slack with the updates. And I don't have many photos to show for it. So here is a summary version of what I've been up to!

We had our work Christmas party on the 2nd December at Glamz, which is a drag show in Hamilton. Most people caught the bus from Tokoroa, but of course I didn't need to as I already live in Hamilton! There was a spare ticket going so I got to take my darling sister along. We had 2 long tables to fit 48 of us. There were a couple of other groups there too. They started with some terrible singers on keyboard before they brought out soup and an entree. Then they started the show. We had a bit of singing, etc before they brought out the main course. Plenty of food to go around! Then a bit more of a show then dessert then some more show. It was quite good like that as it broke up the meal a bit. Overall, it was a great night out. Our poor CEO didn't even realise that he was posing with a dragqueen - he thought it was a flat-chested girl! OH DEAR!!!

Our MC - and also the best drag queen there!

Another life changing event - I've changed my hair colour!!! I've gone a very dark brown with the odd caramel highlight. No photos though, cause I just haven't got around to taking photos of myself!!!! And no photos of my car yet - quick slack, I know!

On the 6th we had our final photography class. We had to print off 5 photos each and bring them to class. We layed them out and everyone had to vote. Out of about 12 of us, I got 4th equal. Not first place, but I'm pretty happy with that!!!!

Wed 13th we had a Corporate Day Out, which is when the Corporate group had a day away from the office for team building. We were at some random lake but it was beautiful. The weather even cleared up for us. The general invite said Teddy Bear's Picnic. After much disgust in the theme, we all trudged along. It ended up being quite a good day. We all normally work just within our little teams and don't get to deal with each other much, so this day was quite good to get to know others. Shame I'm not going to be around long enough to enjoy the new knowledge of the others!

I can't remember if I've posted this, but I'm going to start a new job in the new year! I got a job at Hamilton City Council. I was going to be working those 3 days after new years at my current job, but I managed to wangle some holiday leave, so I finish Thursday 21st December! Bring on the long summer!! I start at HCC on 15th Jan, so it's a good 3 week break.

The Saturday just been, 16th, Jo and I went to see the Naked Samoans Go Home (Again). It's a live stage act by the Naked Samoans (they did Sione's Wedding and bro'Town). It was a BRILLIANT show! Great stand up comedy show, that actually told a story. Great comic timing by all of them. Would totally recommend others to see it, but we went to the last show!

On Sunday, Rach, Cam and I headed over the hill for a BBQ lunch at Kulim Park to celebrate Debra and Pam's birthdays. Apparently this was an old school thing they all used to do. The day started out looking grey and yuck, but by the time we got over there, the sun was out and burning our skin. I am now brown the next morning, but not sure how the other 2 are. Rach was looking pretty red yesterday!

So that brings me to today. Not much to report so far from today's activities, as it's only 10.20am. So I may get back to doing some work. Yay only 4 days left of work to gooooooooo!!!
